Tech Stars At 1776 Launch

1776 opening-steve and tim

We swung by 1776's VIP reception before its launch party kicked off Friday night and found Mark Zuckerberg's college roommate and Fwd.us founder Joe Green, AOL founder Steve Case, and LivingSocial co-founder Tim O'Shaughnessy. The startup campus in downtown DC drew 350 other VIPs, including ObjectVideo CEO and Caps/Wizards/Mystics co-owner Raul Fernandez, Mayor Vincent Gray, and US Reps Darrell Issa and Joaquin Castro. The actual launch party drew 1,000 people. (Rumor has it Joe hurt his ankle while skiing, though we prefer to think someone tackled him after mistaking him for Pittsburgh Steelers great Joe Greene.)
