Mark Wahlberg Is Bringing His Burger Chain To DC

Wahlburgers—a Boston-based burger franchise founded by actor Mark Wahlberg and his brothers Paul, the executive chef, and Donnie—is opening its first DC location in Dupont Circle.

The 6,500 SF restaurant will be at One Dupont Circle and is slated to open later this year.

The Wahlberg brothers opened the first Wahlburgers above, in 2011 in Hingham, MA, now have seven. In May they announced plans to expand the chain to 118 new locations, and plan to open several in the DC area.

"We’re thrilled to be bringing Wahlburgers to our nation’s capital, especially during such an exciting election year,” says Wahlburgers CEO Rick Vanzura. “We look forward to serving DC’s diverse community and welcoming everyone from foreign ambassadors and elected officials to students and visitors.”

The burger chain is the subject of an A&E reality show with the same name.
