PREIT Touts Springfield Town Center Occupancy

Washington, D.C. Retail

Springfield Town Center, the property formerly known as Springfield Mall, will be unveiled at a grand re-opening this Friday. And there's plenty for Joe Coradino, CEO of Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, which is purchasing the redeveloped property from Vornado, to celebrate ahead of time. PREIT announced yesterday that occupancy is up to 81% at STC, and that by the time the holidays roll around, 50k SF of additional stores will open. 90% of the property's non-anchor space will be occupied by the end of next year, too, the firm says. Nordstrom Rack, Dick's, The LOFT, and J.Crew are among the new retailers, while &Pizza and Maggiano's are part of the new restaurant offerings.
