Forbes 400: Ted Lerner Ranks 4th-Wealthiest Real Estate Mogul in US

Placeholder

Forbes released its annual list of American billionaires this week, and Nationals owner and real estate legend Ted Lerner (whom we snapped in 2012 with son-in-law Ed Cohen) is the fourth-richest developer in the land. His estimated net worth of $5.4B places him behind Donald Bren ($15.2B), Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross ($6.6B) and NYC's Richard LeFrak ($6.1B). Lerner turns 90 years old next month, but his fortune just keeps chugging along. He's No. 86 overall on this year's list, up from No. 110 last year. Just two years ago, Forbes estimated his net worth at $4B. Lerner Enterprises is still cashing in on the Silver Line in Tysons and the area around Nationals Park, so don't expect that number to come down anytime soon.
