JLL has brought on a new addition to its D.C. leasing team for his second stint with the company.

The real estate firm announced Friday it hired Brooks Brown as managing director in its D.C. office. He will work alongside Executive Managing Director Amy Bowser in representing building owners in lease deals.

Brown spent the last 12 years with Tishman Speyer in Boston, according to his LinkedIn page, but before that he had worked with JLL in 2006 and 2007. A University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill graduate, Brooks began his commercial real estate career with Spaulding & Slye in 1999 and spent seven years at the firm.

"I have always had tremendous respect for the work that JLL does, particularly in the D.C. market," Brown said in a release. "I'm looking forward to joining the team and working to bring top tenants to some of the District's most lauded properties."
