Golf Simulator Highlights LPC’s New Reposition

Lincoln Property yesterday unveiled the $14M renovation of 2300 N St NW, a 288k SF, eight-story office building in the West End. Lincoln VP Adam Biberaj tells us that after anchor tenant Pillsbury moved to Akridge’s 1200 17th St NW, it gave the firm a chance to reposition the property. Ironically, it’s Akridge leasing associate Timothy McCarty who was trying out the coolest feature of Lincoln’s renovation: a full golf swing simulator in the fitness center. The full center is 4,500 SF and includes an exercise room for yoga classes and new locker facilities. Lincoln Property also spruced up the rooftop deck, gutted the lobby, extended the entrance a few feet and turned it into the shiny glass doorway you see below.

We snapped SVP Merill Turnbull, SVP Elaine Clancy, two lovely Washington football cheerleaders, managing director of DC leasing John Marvin Jones and Adam, who will all team up to try and lease up the building. Adam says they’ll target law firms, associations and think tanks. Whoever signs a lease in the building—which is owned by the State Teachers of Illinois’ pension funds—will also be able to use a second-floor tenant lounge and conference center and shuttles to the Foggy Bottom and Dupont Circle Metro stops. After a nine-month renovation, the building is entering the market at the perfect time: DC office leasing is the strongest it's been in five years.
