Politico Inks New Deal

The rag you political junkies can't wait to read every morning—Politico—has a new home. Well, sort of. Word broke yesterday that the publication has inked a new 72k SF deal at Monday Properties' 1000 Wilson Blvd in Rosslyn, right next door to its current HQ at Monday's 1100 Wilson. (If the moving van is long enough, you can just load things in the back and take them out of the front.) We snapped Politico's chief economic correspondent, Ben White, interviewing HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan in February. In a statement, Rosslyn BID chief Mary-Claire Burick said: "Our prime location and access make Rosslyn a place where businesses are able to connect to activity across the metro area, which is especially critical for media companies like Politico that are covering breaking news." It's an eleven-year deal, and Politico will move into the new space early next year. Savills Studley repped Politico, while Newmark Grubb Knight Frank repped Monday.
