LOIS ZAMBO

Washington, D.C. Office

Studley's Lois Zambo didn’t enjoy being a dental hygienist, so she took a temp job as a receptionist at Studley in 1975, she tells us. Eventually, Julien Studley told her to get her real estate license, and 40 years later, Lois has repped over 10M SF and $4B worth in tenant deals. Her title is vice chairman and co-manager in Studley’s DC regional office, but she says it’s the senior broker role that she really loves. (She's here getting a Bizzy award last September.) One of the Pittsburgh native’s most interesting projects was the Newseum and its adjacent office, retail, and residential space, totaling 440k SF. She handled the museum’s relocation from Rosslyn to an iconic piece of property along Pennsylvania Ave between the Capitol and White House. Lois tells us the space was secured by convincing the city that it would add arts, education, and culture to the area. Best lesson: Never take no for an answer.
