Update: Washington Gateway

If you're driving south on New York Avenue, you can't miss MRP Realty's Elevation at Washington Gateway (snapped this morning), the 400-unit NoMa residential complex that's rapidly finishing up. (Although with today's weather, it's best you keep your eyes on the road.) The firm's Matt Robinson told us MRP will start leasing residential units this summer and is currently in lease negotiations with a retail tenant for the 5,000 SF ground-floor space.

Matt (snapped a few weeks ago with colleagues Charley McGrath and Kevin Schaar) tells us Washington Gateway's rents should fall within the spectrum of other newer NoMa complexes like Flats 130 and Camden NoMa. He says MRP also views the project as a core, long-term hold rather than a quick sell.

From its perch on New York Avenue, the views make it the perfect place to bring a date. Matt tells us that since several neighboring buildings like the ATF HQ are lower-scale buildings, views from even the 4th and 5th floors of Washington Gateway offer unfettered views at the city.
