Even More from Multifamily

At our Mid-Year Multifamily Summit this week, Willco Residential's Gary Cohen (right, with CohnReznick's David Kessler) said that while developers stress over amenities, the neighborhood in which a project is built is an amenity in itself. (If you're in that neighborhood, that makes you an amenity. So comb your hair.) So the condo projects Willco is building in Hill East and on New York Avenue will look to feed off the energy of the neighborhoods surrounding the development sites.

We ran into Nate Edwards, Bethany Schneider, and Will Harvey of Cassidy Turley's multifamily team. Their group just closed a deal in Pittsburgh and is marketing two big DC-area projects: The Swift in Petworth and the Rosenthal Mazda dealership site in Ballston; their colleague Chris Doerr spoke at Tuesday's event.
