Savills Studley has brought on a new broker from Cantor Commercial Real Estate to work with its capital markets group in D.C.

Matt Brody joins Savills Studley as senior managing director and will partner with Senior Managing Director Lindsay Stroud on debt and equity deals.

Brody has worked for CCRE, a subsidiary of Cantor Fitzgerald, since 2009, most recently as managing director. Before that, he worked for five years at Credit Suisse in its real estate finance group. He has been involved in over $10B worth of commercial real estate loans over his 15-year career.

“Capital markets continues to be an active and vital piece of our business as we expand our footprint into new regions globally,” Savills Studley Vice Chairman and Director David Lipson said in a release. “Matt’s well-established relationships and extensive experience in debt and structured finance enhances the firm’s ability to obtain the best-possible deal pricing and structure for client investments domestically and internationally.”

Brody's departure from CCRE comes after the firm's co-founder and CEO, Anthony Orso, left in March to become Newmark Knight Frank's president of capital markets strategies. The two also worked together at Credit Suisse.
