Some Doubts About Charities?

Placeholder

A recent Chronicle of Philanthropy poll found that 1 in 3 Americans lack faith in charities. Over 80% said charities do a very good or somewhat good job, but a big portion said they're not spending money wisely. Over 40% said their leaders are paid too much. When people were asked what factors influence their giving, most said low overhead and evidence that a charity’s programs are working. The results haven’t changed much since the last time this poll was done in 2008. (Everyone responding just has more gray hair.) [CoP]
