Pomeroy Lodging will invest $26M in a revamp of Delta Lodge at Kananaskis that it hopes will reposition the property as a leading four-star conference and destination resort. Built in 1986 by Canadian Pacific Hotels for the 1988 Olympics with alpine events held at Nakiska Ski Area—Delta Lodge has 412 rooms and 36k SF of conference/event space. (If you listen closely, you can still hear decorated Finnish cross-country skiers bemoaning the fact nobody recognizes them.) Pomeroy, which owns 18 hotels (2,100 rooms) across Alberta and B.C., plans upgrades to the Delta’s guest rooms, conference facilities and six food and beverage outlets, plus enhanced amenities like indoor water slides and a kid’s splash pad, finishing in 2017
