That the residential high-rise marketplace in Miami is hot is good news; it also means that general contractors and subcontractors are extremely busy. President of Plaza Construction’s Southeast Region Brad Meltzer says that Plaza continues to develop strong, long-term relationships with subs and clients based on trust and shared values. With the current level of construction activity, municipalities are challenged with obtaining permits and completing timely inspections. Meltzer says the condo market continues to be strong, with at least two and a half years of solid work on the horizon. The company is planning the construction of four Paraiso Towers for the Related Group, The Ritz-Carlton Residences on Miami Beach for Lionheart Capital, and the Aventura Mall expansion for Turnberry Associates, to name a few.
