Founders Bob Matteson and Graham Gilbert tell us that all properties need to offer a mobile strategy, and not only the big, sexy complexes. Even mom-and-pop owners must build their brand, put a “face” on their property and create a community. Each app is “white labeled”: individually tailored to each specific property for branding and marketing, providing a personal and unique experience for each tenant. One property, 180 North Jefferson in Chicago, reports its app has added to the sense of community and improved resident interaction with events and notices. It’s simply a business strategy for attracting and retaining tenants, in an age when mobile apps have become a way of life and competition for tenants is intense.
