Mockingbird Towers’ Magnificent Upgrade

Caddo Holdings is bullish regarding its recent acquisition of Mockingbird Towers, a 450k SF office property just west of Love Field. Increased investment around Love Field and the Dallas Medical District and a shortage of affordable office space in other areas drove the purchase decision. Caddo Holdings managing partner Tim Slaughter tells us the property will get $7M in upgrades, which will include a tenant conference center, a tenant lounge and associated work area, a well-appointed fitness center, a renovated deli, on-site management, contemporary lobby finishes and updated restrooms. Mockingbird Towers will be especially attractive to larger users of space looking for an economical option to Uptown, Downtown and Las Colinas. JLL’s Blake Shipley, James Esquivel and Ashley Curry market the property for lease. The building offers a quality and amenity level that is difficult if not impossible to find in Dallas at the property’s rental economics, Blake divulged.
