Mixed-use is as hot as ever, but Cooper Carry project architect Krista Dumkrieger says she’s really seeing clients requesting mixed-use in the true sense of the word: more projects are requiring the whole meal and not just à la carte, including residential, offices, retail and hotels in one big development. Krista adds that Millennials continue to influence her design on a daily basis; it’s all about social, shared areas and flexible space. These days, kitchens are for entertaining and not so much for cooking. And where? Over train stations.
