Meet Transwestern's New SV Chief Ed Del Beccaro

East Bay vet Ed Del Beccaro is adding Silicon Valley to his plate, and tells us about big plans he's got to expand Transwestern's presence in the tech hub.

Ed (snapped with exec managing director Robert Bagguley) has been running East Bay for some time, with a team of 30. In SV, hiring will be one of the main goals under his expanded role as managing director of SV and East Bay. The new position comes weeks after Transwestern tapped Robert as Northern California market leader. Last fall, Ed and SVP Scott Ellis repped Nearon Enterprises in the $4M buy of a light industrial, storage and yard facility at 1276 Reamwood in Sunnyvale.

Ed tells us he plans to grow SV's present brokerage capability from three to 10 brokers over the next couple of years, expanding service lines in office, R&D, health services, industrial, multifamily and retail (with the first three having top priority). He also wants to expand the company's existing property management portfolio along with SVP of property management David Ford. Transwestern's SV office at 225 Gateway near the airport contains three brokers and two property managers. One of those brokers is Anna McQuillan Rose, who has a major San Jose listing: Club Auto Sport (pictured).
