Google is in discussions with Lennar Urban to ink a deal at Hunters Point Shipyard. But the talks are in the earliest of stages, with no agreement or square footage requirement in place. In addition, it's unclear if buying or leasing is the play, reports the San Francisco Business Times. Office buildings won't rise on the 700-acre site, which has 3M SF of offices and R&D space planned, until 2018. The $8B redevelopment project also includes the former Candlestick Park site.
