Alexandria Buys Into SoMa Site

Alexandria Real Estate Equities continues to ramp up its presence in SoMa, having just teamed up on a JV with TMG Partners on the already-approved 505 Brannan St. The site houses a BofA and will be adjacent to a future Central Subway stop, connecting the southern part of the city with Union Square and Chinatown, reports the San Francisco Business Times. Alexandria has started to capitalize big time on the tech boom of late; it's building offices for Uber in Mission Bay and Stripe in SoMa. This month CEO Joel Marcus told Bisnow behind-the-deal details about Stripe's 300k SF mega-lease. [SFBT]
