Confirmed: Google For 188

On Monday we told you Google was the top contender to buy 188 The Embarcadero, and now we've confirmed they are, in fact, the chosen buyer. More specifically, it's the search giant's VC investment arm (Google Ventures) that's scooping up the prime waterfront property being sold by USAA/Ares. Sources tells us $748/SF is the suspected sales price, and the second place bidder was far from that (about $100/SF less). Cushman marketed the building and had no comment.
