Giants Tee Up Waterfront Battle

A land-use debate starring the World Series Champs will soon take place five blocks north of the Warriors' basketball location, which is facing hurdles of its own. The Giants will seek voters’ approval on the November ballot for a 24-acre project called Mission Rock, which creates a new neighborhood by adding about 10 apartment buildings and office buildings, some of which could rise to 280 feet, reports the San Francisco Business Times. Mission Rock, which will sit on Seawall Lot 337 and Pier 48, will also include retail, parks and the Anchor Steam Brewing Co. [SFBT]
