An 'Unconference' Conference Wraps In Berkeley

The Global Coworking Unconference (GCUC) took the Bay Area by storm this week, uniting 300 people from over 15 countries in Berkeley to chat about the booming world of co-working and the future of work. One panel was moderated by GCUC executive producer Liz Elam and featured Liquidspace CEO Mark Gilbreath, Mike Burke from Arlington Economic Development, Mike Nieman from CBRE and Rasa Strumskyte from Talent Garden in Italy.

The "unconference" part of the program lets attendees become the presenters and all break out into different groups to discuss various topics. Because GCUC prides itself on its quirkiness, producer Mike LaRosa and ops director Lindsey Rima sent all attendees out on a massive scavenger hunt, which Mike says is a great way to blend boring real estate tours with fun activities.
