Mixed-Use Tower Approved For Penn Health System On Civic Center Boulevard

Placeholder

The University of Pennsylvania Health System has been approved by the Civic Design Review for an eight-story, mixed-use building on 3600 Civic Center Blvd.

The first floor of the roughly 484k SF building will be a dedicated lobby, the second will be a childcare center (with an outdoor play area to go with it), and the remaining six floors will be offices. Penn Medicine's IT and HR departments will be the largest users of the space, moving from leases elsewhere in the area.

A parking garage has already been completed on the property, with the tower set to break ground in early 2017. The Perkins+Will architectural firm designed the building, which will attempt to achieve a Silver LEED rating.
