Weighing The Future In The OC
While many experts and economists are weighing the election's ramifications on the economy, things are looking good in the OC.
Parker Properties managing member Russ Parker tells Bisnow the Orange County office market outlook is positive.
"Believe it or not, it may be brighter and more sustainable from an office demand standpoint," Russ says.
This is especially true since Russ says the "primary user categories" are finance, tech, medical device makers, pharma and professional services.
A Trump administration may offer "more favorable taxation and industry treatment from Uncle Sam" and higher growth rates for business sectors, he says.
Allen Matkins partner Bill Ahern (pictured above with his wife, Jen, and children, Gain, Riley and Bridget) says Orange County's development market is "very vibrant" with a number of condo and office projects under construction, especially in Irvine.
However, he also tells us the scarcity of land and density issues are two of the biggest challenges the area faces.
Bill says land is becoming less available, and there are certain "density hurdles to overcome" in certain areas.
