Alexandria's getting a new Giant Food on Friday. The grocery store will take up 57,716 SF at JBG's luxurious Notch 8 apartment building at 2900 Main Line Blvd in Potomac Yard. Earlier this year, Giant closed an 18k SF site in Old Town that had been operating for 64 years. The Landover-based company is also shutting down an East Monroe Avenue location in Del Ray, which will be replaced by an Aldi. The chain operates 168 stores in DC, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.
