More on the Venable Lease

Another big law firm has taken on new trophy digs, as yesterday, Venable announced its long-anticipated move to Gould Property Co/Oxford Properties' under-construction 600 Massachusetts Ave in Mount Vernon Triangle. Venable, which is taking about 245k SF, says it will install a bocce court on the rooftop, something it's already done at its current spot on 7th Street. (Are red balls the new red convertibles when it comes to lawyers showing off?) The interior, designed by Alliance Architecture, will include a cafeteria, terraces, and a two-story multi-purpose room. The firm has about 400 employees but says the new space "will allow us to continue to grow" once it moves in Q1 '17. Newmark Grubb Knight Frank's Aaron Katz, Mike Shuler, and Pat Nalls repped the firm in its space search.
