The Customs and Border Protection's Office of Information Technology is currently spread across 11 buildings, primarily in Boston Properties Virginia 95 Business Park, above, but the GSA is looking to consolidate the DHS agency into one location.
The GSA is seeking a 562k SF lease of up to 15 years for the agency, shrinking its footprint by 68k SF, the Washington Business Journal reports.
The agency's current leases, in Springfield, Alexandria, Kingstowne, Falls Church and Chantilly, are set to expire between September 2019 and August 2021. The GSA's prospectus says it is looking to keep the agency in NoVa.
The GSA recently completed its search to consolidate the NIH in Bethesda, shrinking its footprint by 115k SF. [WBJ]
