Yelp Opened Its D.c. Office At The Terrell Place Building In 2018.

Chinatown's Terrell Place office building has already attracted the likes of Yelp and Facebook, and it has just landed another technology tenant.

St. Louis-based World Wide Technology signed a 12K SF lease at the building at 575 Seventh St. NW, the first D.C. outpost for the technology solutions provider, Bisnow has learned exclusively.

Newmark Knight Frank Executive Managing Directors Ed Clark and Steve Hoffeditz represented WWT in the deal. JLL's Kate Griffin, Tom Golsen and Amy Bowser lease the building on behalf of the landlord, Beacon Capital Partners.

Large technology companies have been expanding their D.C. footprints in recent years, and Terrell Place has proven to be an attractive landing spot. Beacon last year signed Yelp for a 53K SF lease and Facebook for a 70K SF office in the building.

Founded in 1990, WWT provides technology and supply chain solutions to public and private organizations, bringing in $10.4B in revenue last year. The company has over 20 offices around the world, including in Lanham, Maryland. WWT Vice President of Federal Sales Bryan Thomas said the company evaluated multiple locations in D.C.

"Ultimately, Terrell Place best suited our needs allowing us to build a high-end Innovation Center to showcase our technology in a building that's already pushing the boundaries of technology in a Metro-friendly location," Thomas said in a release.
