After launching a search for new space this summer, Radio One has decided to remain at its current digs in Silver Spring.
The media company, which owns 55 radio stations, signed a deal at Brandywine Realty Trust's 1010 Wayne Ave on Friday, multiple sources tell Bisnow.
The new lease will total almost 100k SF, mostly at the Wayne Avenue building, above. Radio One, one of the region's largest publicly traded companies, will also keep its smaller office at Foulger Pratt's 8515 Georgia Ave in Silver Spring, we're told.
Radio One's current lease expires at the end of 2017. This summer, the company retained Ernie Jarvis to explore relocation options. Jarvis declined to comment. Brandywine's Jerry Kilkenny repped the landlord and landed the REIT its biggest DC win of 2016 just before the holidays.
