Douglas Plans Apartment And Retail Project Near Booming H Street Corridor

Developments continue to pop up around the booming H Street Corridor with the latest project announced for a parcel just a bit east.

Douglas Development is planning an apartment and retail project at 1151 Bladensburg Road NE. Plans call for 4k SF of ground-floor retail and 13 apartments on the second and third levels, Urban Turf reports. Core Architecture has been tasked with design for the project.

The developer has another mixed-use project in the works not too far away at 501 H St NE. The Bladensburg project is scheduled to deliver in about a year, Urban Turf reports.

The H Street Corridor has been a hub of activity of late with several projects either announced or in the works. Last month, Capital City Real Estate submitted a PUD for a 180-unit residential development at 1701 H St NE, which is just up the road from MRP Realty’s 125-unit development at 315 H St[UT]
