Phoenix's Green Appeal

With Earth Day quickly approaching, Hotels.com today has named its top five green cities—ones that allow travelers to appreciate the great outdoors, as well as provide hotels offering a more environmentally friendly experience. And Phoenix has made the cut, with the Arizona Grand Resort (above) a hotel of note. Hotels.com notes how it’s LEED certified, has a green task force that implements sustainable practices, has a completely organic spa, and—every commercial real estate pro’s favorite definition of green—a golf course overlooking the Sonoran Desert and mountain vistas. Other cities that made the list: Milwaukee, San Francisco, Singapore, and Oslo, Norway.
