At the expo's Green Pavilion—where you can find all of the green and energy-efficient solutions and products to help you save green (and be nice to the earth, to boot)—we snapped Waste Management's Steve Bregman, Russell Simmons, Todd Krohn, Alfonso Rodriguez, and Sean Lyles. One of WM's newest products is a free mobile account management app that allows customers (including construction professionals, green builders, hospitals, malls, stadiums, and other high-capacity venues) to schedule pickup requests from their iPhone or Android mobile devices. Visitors to their booth took a shot at the portable putt-putt for chances to win sleeves of golf balls and a $200 gift card.

We found this power group ready to learn—City of San Diego’s Dave Stucky, Peloton Dallas COO/principal Ray Mackey, Allen Tate’s Kenneth Brown, and Cassidy Turley Raleigh SVP/principal Becky Hanner. Becky tells us she’s been working with BOMA on new international floor measure standards. She’s also excited about BOMA’s new focus on industrial and is working on the latest experience exchange report to improve the benchmarking of those properties. Ray’s been enjoying watching the urbanization of Dallas—he says it’s approaching 10,000 residential units Downtown, a new high. And although the suburbs have been getting most of the major office deals lately, he thinks we’ll see a big user go Downtown soon because it’s reasonably priced.
