Colliers AVP Ken Cloak is looking ahead to an upcoming trip to Penticton to spend some time on the beach with the grandkids. The reason he can think of relaxing: There's been a significant jump in the dollar volume of Victoria apartment trades from 2013, he tells us. Estimated sales to date have already surpassed the $23M in total sales recorded last year. Greater Victoria had seven apartment sales in the first half of 2014—a combined value of $38.3M—notably Christie Point Apartments to Realstar Group and Seaview Towers to Starlight Investments. And multifamily activity will remain strong, he forecasts. (His family can agree that's a good thing.)
