Avison Young is a founding partner in the Carbon Impact Initiative, the first CRE services firm to join the organization, which is working with government to reduce the carbon impact of commercial buildings at all development stages, from design to operations. CEO Mark Rose said CII will play a “key role” in cutting emissions in new and existing buildings across Ontario, an issue we spotlighted in this special report. Avison Young’s involvement with CII will give its team added expertise on sustainable design and construction, Mark said, which will in turn assist AY's office, retail and industrial clients in reducing their carbon footprints.
