Canada Green Building Council’s Vancouver office at Oxford Properties Group’s MNP Tower (1021 West Hastings St.) is the nation’s first commercial project to be certified LEED v4 Platinum, for interior design and construction. The office — with open-concept design, eco-friendly flooring and fabrics, and low VOC gypsum — will have projected energy savings of 25% versus the 2010 ASHRAE standard, with 39% reduction in indoor water use. CaGBC said its goal is to lead by example, demonstrating how a state-of-the-art, innovative green office can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve employee well-being.
