Miller Thomson Inks 10-Year Lease At KPMG Tower

SmartREIT and JV partner Mitchell Goldhar have inked law firm Miller Thomson to a 10-year lease (plus two five-year extensions) at KPMG Tower in Vaughan, the first building in the SmartCentres Place master plan development. The recently opened 360k SF tower is connected to Vaughan Metropolitan Centre subway station, with the extended TTC line slated to open this December. Miller Thomson is taking a full floor (22k SF) and expects to open its office this quarter with 30 lawyers. Harley-Davidson also recently signed a deal at KPMG Tower. SmartCentres Place is a 100-acre, 17M SF development. SmartREIT last year announced plans for a second office building, PwC Tower.
