Facebook Canada is moving its HQ from Yonge and Eglinton to the state-of-the-art Phase 2 tower at MaRS Discovery District and will be leasing half a floor at the 20-storey building. Facebook is the first tenant to sign at MaRS since the Ontario government
opted to spend $86M to finish construction on the building after buying out the stake of original project developer Alexandria Real Estate. Facebook’s Jordan Banks
said his group wanted a large space that's interactive and collaborative. “Our mission is to make the world more open and connected. We feel MaRS is the type of venue that will help us do that.”
