BTB REIT Buys a Pair of Ottawa Office Buildings

BTB Real Estate Investment Trust announced last week that it has acquired 2200-2204 Walkley Rd, a pair of government office buildings located close to Ottawa International Airport. The $28.5M deal grows the Montreal-based REIT’s portfolio to 75 properties, with over 5.2M SF of leaseable space worth $65M. 2204 Walkley, a five-storey, 102k SF building, was constructed in 1991 and last renovated in 2013; 2200 Walkley, a two-storey structure with 55k SF (shown above), was built in 1988 and also reno'd in 2013. Both buildings are fully leased.
