City Core Developments and Fortress Real Developments have broken ground on Harmony Village Sheppard, a Scarborough condo complex that’ll be protected from power failures and blackouts by an on-site co-generation system supplying most of its electricity. It’ll also be powered by geothermal technology. Suites are designed to be accessible to all, enabling seniors to age in place, and there’ll be medical offices and a pharmacy at the base.
