Hunting for South Florida Talent

Now’s the time to have an even bigger foothold in South Florida, Douglas Elliman’s Florida CEO Jay Parker, tell us. These are boomtimes, but that isn’t the only reason. This week the NY-based company closed on its acquisition of the Miami Beach-based Majestic Properties, which has been led by Jeff Morr for 20 years. The deal’s isn’t a matter of bulking up, Jay says, but part of Douglas Elliman’s strategy to acquire something hard to find in any market, boom or not: talent. The Majestic acquisition will add a number of seasoned agents and market experts, not the least of which is Jeff, who’s sold about 3,000 condos.
