Billy Bookcases Are Coming!

Scandinaviandesign at popular prices is coming to Dade County, with groundbreaking this week for a new Ikea. The 416k SF Ikea Miami--and its 1,500 parking spaces--is being built on 14.6 acres adjacent to the Dolphin Mall in Sweetwater. Itll be the second South Florida location for the retailer, with the other in Broward County. According to Ikea US prez Mike Ward, this location will draw in those from Miami-Dade who sometimes make it up to the existing location, as well as capture new customers. The new Ikea will be open to sell Dagstorp,Fyrkantig, and Glogg (all real product names) in summer 14.
