The FAA isn't keen on a proposed 102-story building at Fourth Avenue and Columbia Street in Downtown Seattle, sending a "notice of presumed hazard" to the developer, Miami-based Crescent Heights Inspirational Living.
In FAA-ese, the note says the 1,117-foot structure "would have an adverse physical or electromagnetic interference effect upon navigable air space or air navigation facilities." If, however, Crescent Heights whittled the tower down to 965 feet, the FAA would approve it, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.
The current tallest building in the Northwest, Columbia Center, is 967 feet tall. [PSBJ]
