Town Square at Bay Meadows Breaks Ground

Tomorrow is a huge day at Bay Meadows, the mixed-use development under construction on the Peninsula’s rail corridor. Executives from Stockbridge Capital and developer Wilson Meany will break ground on the village’s Town Square. The Mayor and civic leaders will join in to celebrate the dedication of the final park to the City of San Mateo, which will feature a significant piece of public art, entitled "San Mateo Bridge," by internationally renowned sculptor Chuck Ginnever.

Participants at tomorrow’s invite-only event will get the inside scoop on Bay Meadows’ Delaware Street, the street-front hub of indoor and outdoor spaces featuring 40k SF of retail. Now underway for two years, Bay Meadows is home to over 600 residents, plus 18 acres of parks and the Nueva School. Construction continues on both the residential and commercial side. Station 4, one of five office buildings in the urban village, features 210k SF of Class-A office space that will be ready for occupancy in June 2016.
