Apparently unfazed by its recent defeat at the hands of tech counterpart LinkedIn, Google might get the green light to expand its empire and build more of its campus. Its HQ expansion was nixed by the Mountain View City Council earlier this month, but the tech giant is now trying to revive one of the killed buildings—a domed 328k SF office building on Huff Avenue, reports the San Jose Mercury News. Google says it should be allowed because there will be "no net new trips associated with the development of this site." That means no additional traffic congesting the neighborhood, Google said in a document filed with the city. [SJMN]
