Sobrato's Mixed-Use Plans for Mountain View

Cupertino-based Sobrato Organization just inked a deal with the Diocese of San Jose that will pave the way for a 100k SF office building (including some ground-floor retail) with 12 apartments behind it. The lease next to St. Joseph’s Parish Church in downtown Mountain View will utilize a one-acre site the church didn't use, reports the Silicon Valley Business Journal. Located at Castro and Church streets, the site is in a highly coveted area of downtown. Right now it's a parking lot for the historic church, which was built in 1905. [SVBJ]
