Webcor has opened a permanent office in Silicon Valley at 1 Almaden Blvd. in San Jose. The San Jose office will be led by Webcor Senior Vice President of Business Development Shelley Doran, who relocated from the company’s San Francisco headquarters.

The construction company joins other CRE firms adding offices in San Jose within the last 12 months, including Newmark Knight Frank and Avison Young.

“With our new South Bay presence, we can accommodate the large pool of current employees who live here,” Doran said in a statement. “We also have more capacity for recruiting and we are tapping in to the bright, diverse and innovative thinkers of this region from a cross-sector of industries.”

The San Jose office will be Webcor’s fourth office. It also has offices in Alameda, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Webcor was founded in San Mateo in 1971 and has delivered over $2B worth of construction in Silicon Valley. Projects include contracts with San Jose State University, Samsung, eBay, Oracle and EA. Webcor also built Axis and The 88, two high-rise condo projects in downtown San Jose.
