5 Awesome Spots To Watch The Super Bowl

When the Super Bowl kicks off this Sunday, do you plan to watch from the stands or from the comfort of your home? There are other options.

Come Sunday, fans will be flocking to Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara as the game (and the partying) gets underway. But there are plenty of opportunities to catch the big game throughout the Bay Area without braving the stadium. We collected five other spots where you can watch the Super Bowl.

Harvest Table

One Main St, St. Helena

Harvest Table is having its own version of a Super Bowl watch party with big-screen TVs and lots of snacks. A Harvest Table tailgate includes delicacies such as citrus and spice marinated mixed olives and pomme dauphine with goat cheese fondue. Since you're in wine country, wine is readily available as you watch the game, though beer is on draft as well.

Pete's Tavern

128 King St, San Francisco (across from AT&T Park)

Pete's Tavern has 22 televisions, so you know you'll be able to catch the game no matter where you're standing. Plus, this is a sports bar with plenty on the menu (as well as plenty of beers on tap).

Tony Bruno's Super Bowl Tailgate Party

The GlassHouse, San Jose

The radio host will be doing a live broadcast followed by a viewing party. There will be happy hour, drinks and food specials and a big screen to view the game. Tickets cost $50. Oh, and if you have a large VIP hostess table for 10 ($900 in advance; $1k the day of the game), the hostess will be wearing body paint.

Balboa Theater

3630 Balboa St, San Francisco

Your friend's screen isn't big enough? Then check out the game on a theater screen at the historic Balboa Theater. Showtime is 2pm, admission is free, and concessions are available.

Halftime Sports Bar

316 14th St, Oakland

Halftime Sports Bar has 14 large flat-screen TVs for your viewing pleasure and opens at 10am on Sunday. Plus, because it's over in the East Bay, you won't have to worry as much about the traffic and transit nightmares going on in San Francisco and Santa Clara.
