Sacramento's downtown ice rink—which has popped up temporarily this time of year for the past 23—will spend this year surrounded by construction.
The Downtown Sacramento Holiday Ice Rink, set to open today, is at St. Rose of Lima Park at 7th and K streets, putting it in the heart of the Golden 1 Center and 700 K Street projects and the redevelopment of about 14k SF of commercial space for three new restaurants and pubs, according to the Sacramento Business Journal.
Those behind the rink say there is still plenty of parking despite the ongoing construction at the nearby Downtown Commons parking structure. [SBJ]
