Wareham Development just wrapped up 740 Heinz, the first top-notch life science building to be constructed in Berkeley since 2001. And the four-story, 110k SF LEED Gold building has signed on a single tenant, Aduro Biotech, in what is the largest lease in Berkeley this year. The site is part of Wareham’s Aquatic Park Center, the 18-acre, 17-building urban research and development campus in West Berkeley. Major life science companies already call the campus home, such as Siemens Diagnostics, Caribou Biosciences and alternative energy company LightSail Energy.
